DevAlly Secures €2m Funding to Scale US Presence
Good news this week that Irish digital accessibility startup DevAlly has raised €2m in pre-seed funding to help grow their foothold in the US market. Founded in 2024 by Cormac Chisholm, Patrick Guiney, and Darren Britton, the company is built on the belief that “digital accessibility should be simple, effective, and within reach for every organization, regardless of size or technical expertise.” Their platform helps businesses to audit and fix digital accessibility issues without the need for expensive outside expertise. This tech-first approach is timely - coming in the wake of the 2024 European Accessibility Act which mandates digital inclusion. Compliance failure can result in fines and even criminal penalties. With companies in Europe looking to ensure they are meeting digital accessibility compliance standards, the stage is set for DevAlly to play a pivotal role in the ongoing digital accessibility transformation. ChatGPT as an Operating System?
The future of work is a theme we continuously return to at MFS. This week, Nick Turley, the head of ChatGPT, gave an insightful interview to TechCrunch which delved into this idea that ChatGPT could evolve into a kind of operating system - not in the classic sense of a Linux or Windows, rather more like the way the browser has, for many, turned into a de-facto operating system.
